Built by a single person and native Long Islander who has spent years on Fire Island, the app addresses a long-standing gap. Until now, travelers had to dig through static PDFs or official ferry websites like Fire Island Ferries, Sayville Ferry, and Davis Park Ferry. These sites are not optimized for mobile or offline use. There are no other apps or tools that offer this functionality.
“I built this app for myself because I was tired of struggling to figure out which ferry was running and when,” said the app’s developer. “After using it for a bit, I realized others might find it helpful too, so I decided to make it available to everyone.”
The app covers every ferry route from Bay Shore, Sayville, and Patchogue, as well as searchable water taxi schedules for all of Fire Island. It works completely offline, so schedules are available even without cell service at the beach or dock.
